The instrumental is tight, despite being a tad conventional and cliche. But its relative normalcy is forgotten by the gentlemen whose cutting raps stand toe-to-toe with the track’s swagger. Each rapper has a hard-hitting synergy that overall allows the track to soar, with the track flowing magnificently between each bar.
“Ain’t Nothing” is topped by a chorus that is catchy and boastful. It doesn’t have a singability that would keep audiences on their toes and singing along, but it does a solid job holding the song together.
The track isn’t nearly nuanced enough that makes it memorable, and despite its fun energy seems to end abruptly. As such, “Ain’t Nothing” feels more like a quick laugh than a raucous party.
But it is always a gathering worth dropping by whenever these three men are listed on the bill.
