The one-man act can be a challenge to pull off, but Lee Gilbert gives his all.
A musician who plays all the instruments in his music, Gilbert is a skilled musician. On top of melodic vocals, Gilbert shows off a stunning breadth of talent. Whether its for a candle lit track over a piano or a fill Big Band romp, Gilbert is capable of creating his own and keeping the source of his music to just himself.
As a single person with a wide musical depth, Gilbert is already quite celebrated. He’s already had the privilege of playing in large venues like the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, showing off his skillful musicianship. He even took part in writing a musical — Come Fly With Me — a Big Band show that was met with critical acclaim at the Wales Millennium Centre. A 2009 comedy that featured a full cast and a live band, Come Fly With Me proves that Lee Gilbert is no slouch.
It should come to no surprise how tight and mature “Soar” sounds, an inspirational and warm single produced by acclaimed Welsh musician Darren Parry. Sounding anthemic, melodic, and cinematic, “Soar” has the potential to really strike a chord with more adult listeners, with the track sounding like it was taken out of an American drama.
Lee Gilbert is already a prolific artist who clearly knows how impactful his talents are. The greatest part about all that is the fact that Gilbert doesn’t seem to be close to hitting his ceiling. Lee Gilbert still seems like he’s got new frontiers to explore, and its exciting to think of what big things lie for him in his future.
