Late Night Episode – Lay Off (Visual Album)
Expertly crafted genre-bending visuals being mixed with the sounds of vintage Rock & modern Indie-Pop from the band Late Night Episode.
Lay Off was self-produced and recorded in Crenshaw, CA, and the videos for each song were filmed as the band toured their way back to their home base of NYC. Eventually, the album turned into a film “about people with something wrong with them.
Daniel Lonner (vocals), Eric Sherman (guitar), Brett Daniel (drums) and Giovanni Stockton-Rossini (bass), Late Night Episode released a couple prior singles with New York label Dirty Canvas, and an acoustic demo “Lost in Cali”, which eventually led to praise from Billboard, Nylon, Ones To Watch, Baeble, AltPress, Pigeons & Planes and HuffPost for their sound that blends “rowdy rock” (Billboard) with “bubbly, nostalgic pop” (Nylon). In addition to producing their own music, Late Night Episode executive produced Topaz Jones‘ critically acclaimed soul-funk record, Arcade, and toured with the likes of Coast Modern and Ripe.
