Richy Nix Anything But Senseless
The debut single from Detroit’s Richy Nix is an angsty cut that roars with the ferocity of industrial rock sounds, and it’s all wrapped up in a beautiful package. “Senseless,” the first single from his upcoming album “Fearless” is bombastic as it is chromatic, combining the boisterous energy of rap-rock with a metallic swagger and punkish energy.
Clocking in at just over four minutes, “Senseless” is very anthemic in nature, progressing at a visceral pace that is neither too fast or too steady, complete with a breakdown that really capitalizes on the track’s heavier and darker tone. Nix’ vocals sound fantastic all throughout, and makes the catchy and memorable chorus all the more infectious.
Quite fittingly, “Senseless” is produced by the ever talented Joey Sturgis (Asking Alexandria, The Devil Wears Prada) and the seemingly immortal Celldweller, which should make “Senseless” a familiar and somewhat nostalgic trip. Props must certainly be given to Nix for snagging such phenomenal and renown talent to help usher in his welcome parade. This is a track to listen to if not purely to gawk at the production by legendary music talents.
The flow of the track is a little compromised at the breakdown, which admittedly feels a little awkward and unsatisfying, but this is barely anything to detract from what is otherwise a great song. “Senseless” is a track that packs a spiked punch, one that is sure to rock the music world and turn heads towards the new energy that is Richy Nix
